The free trial
Proselon is free for 30 days and no card is required to start the trial, so during the trial there is nothing to refund, there being nothing we can charge. If you add a card in order to continue, your plan, at $6.00 monthly or $50.00 annually, is charged when the trial ends, and we email you before that happens. Do nothing and the trial lapses, never charged.
How to cancel
Open Settings inside Proselon and use the billing portal, or follow the “Manage or cancel” link in any billing email we have sent you. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep using Proselon until then, and you are not charged again. You need not email us, explain yourself, or speak to anybody in order to cancel. Should you ever fail to reach the portal, email hello@proselon.com and we will cancel it for you.
How to get a refund
Email hello@proselon.com from the address on your account and say you would like a refund. You do not need a reason. We refund to the original payment method, and Stripe ordinarily takes 5–10 business days to return it to your bank.
How long you have
A trailing 30 days from the date of the charge. Ask within 30 days of being billed and you get that charge back. After that the particular charge is final — though you may cancel at any time, and cancelling always stops the next one. If you are a little outside the window and something went wrong, write to us regardless. The policy is a floor rather than a wall.
What happens to your writing
Nothing. Your books are plain files in your own Documents folder, and cancelling or refunding does not touch them. You keep every word whether or not you keep the subscription.
If something goes wrong
If you were charged an amount you do not recognise, or charged after you cancelled, email hello@proselon.com before disputing it with your bank; we would much rather fix it directly, and we can do it faster.
